Relationships
Love is the greatest force in the Universe. Love without the wisdom is like a child on its own, playing with a loaded gun.
Love is the most precious treasure you can have. Without the wisdom to protect it, anyone can steal it and even use it against you.
You store your material treasure safely under lock and key so you may use it and invest it wisely, so no one can steal it. How much more precious is your spiritual wealth? Yet it is easily taken with deceit because you cannot see its value and have not got the wisdom to protect it.
HERE IS WISDOM
If someone loves you, they will ask for nothing from you but your happiness, even unto sacrificing their own needs and desires
Love and In Love
Marriage is spiritual and of real Love when it is written in the heart.
If it is not written in the heart, then no amount of ceremonies, vows or written words, can put it there, therefore it is spiritually worthless. This is a marriage of convenience.
When a marriage is not written in the heart, then it is a sin to stay together as if it was. For there lies two souls imprisoned and will never have their love fulfilled.
If a man and woman stay together solely because of the marriage vows they have made, even though all the Love between them has gone, then this can only result in them hating and despising each other. So to stay together under these circumstances is a sin, for here lies the Love of two souls, imprisoned and tortured.
If we look at marriage we can break it into to three categories:
(1) The spiritual part where the marriage is written on the hearts of two people. This is the marriage made in heaven and it needs no vows because they are joined by Love.
(2) The marriage of convenience, where a man and woman are joined for reasons that are not of Love. In this case the marriage will only last as long as both parties are gaining from it. This is a marriage that is opposed to Love, for it is selfish and therefore sinful.
(3) For the purpose of clarity, the terms ‘man’ and ‘woman’ are used, with a man taking the leading role but the following may also be read with the woman taking the leading role.
This is the marriage where one has given them self to the other spiritually, but the other has not.
If the man has not given himself spiritually and yet stays in the marriage for convenience, or through fear that if he leaves, he will be lonely and not find anyone else, then his act of staying will be an act against love. His reasons for staying in the marriage would be selfish and would block the paths of both parties to finding real Love that gives fulfillment.
In this marriage the only right reasons for this man to stay would be:
A. For the benefit of the children which would be an unselfish act and therefore would be an act of Love
B. Through compassion e.g. although the man is no longer in love with the woman, he may realise that the woman is still deeply in love with him. He would know, that if he left her, this would cause her pain and suffering and he would feel her pain. This would be an act of sacrifice and of great Love.
There are two terms that we use to explain the love of one person for another.
· When you Love someone, your only desire is for his or her happiness.
· When you are In Love with someone, your desire is for his or her happiness and for your soul to journey with their soul, for the rest of your life (soul mates).
If the desire to journey with that other soul overrides the desire for their happiness then it is not Love. It is an act of selfish desire.
The true meaning of marriage is when two people are In Love, which is spiritual.
