The Greatest Deception
The greatest deception has been in the taking away of self awareness, by those who are not self aware. You see, we know we are spiritual beings, but we are also led to believe that we are just physical beings. It is in the interests of those who control others, that people are not sure.
If people were sure that they were physical beings, then who would go to war risking their finite life? Who would suffer for others, or be subservient to anyone else’s needs? People would put their own interests first i.e. self preservation, avoidance of pain and the acquisition of pleasure. People would become like animals.
Now if people believed that there was an afterlife and that they were souls, this life wouldn’t matter so much, and how could they be controlled, or indeed made to fight wars?
So, it is in the interests of those who control others that everyone is unsure. That way there is always a question mark hanging over a person’s belief, never being quite sure and afraid to take a chance. Faith is no more than hope until it is confirmed, and where there is hope, there is fear.
The only confirmation to be found is in self awareness, until then, the only place people will be is sitting on the fence wondering which garden to jump into.
When you become self aware, do you think that you will say ‘I am a physical being’ or ‘I am a spiritual being?’
Fear is the only cause of suffering.
Fear of death leads to control, so let us look at it. There are only two possibilities to consider:
If you died and there were no afterlife, then awareness would end. Why worry about something that you would not be aware of, how would you know that you were dead?
Life after death means the adventure continues and that life doesn’t depend on the physical/material, which more than often, were the greatest concerns in life.
So how do you control someone when you’ve told them that there is life after death? With fear of punishment after death of course, and just for affect, make it the worst possible punishment and you would need your physical body to experience the punishment. What happened to love? That which is not good and right is not the way. Forgiveness and compassion are good and right, they are of love. Those who love do not cause suffering. No soul has greater love than the Originator.
