The Mystery of Love
Of all the lessons that we learn and teach our children in life, the first and most important should be Love. Yet how can you teach that which you do not fully understand yourself? How can you stand in Love's defence, or even protect yourself from those who see Love as a weakness to be taken advantage of?
There are many loving souls whose lives have been left torn and shattered by events that they did not understand, and by predators that are blind to the feelings of others.
It is not enough to just feel that Love is right; you must know the reason why it is right. You must know the foundations of Love's Truth, so that when Love is challenged, you can be sure your belief in Love will remain steadfast. You must have what no-one can take from you.
There is no real security or peace living in a house, no matter how grand and comfortable, if its foundations are unknown.
There was a man who bought a house and he worked hard for 25 years to pay for it. He spent a lot of time and money making the house comfortable and pleasing to the eye, it was his security.
Now one day there came along a man who was very interested in buying the house, but he knew that the owner would not sell easily or cheaply, and so he devised a plan. A few days later he visited the owner and told him that he was interested in buying a house in the area, but he had discovered that there were old mineshafts and tunnels in the locality for which the old plans had been lost. However, he was prepared to take a chance on buying a house locally, because it was close to where his relatives lived.
On hearing this, the owner of the house became worried that the house could collapse at any time and he might lose everything that he had invested in, and what he once believed to be the place that he would spend the rest of his days in security and pleasure, now became almost worthless and a burden that caused him fear. The foundations of the house were the one thing that he had overlooked and had taken for granted that they were built on solid ground. How now could he have any peace or feel secure? After some thought, he sold the house very cheaply to the man, thinking that he was lucky to have salvaged at least a little of what he had invested so much in.
There can be no true faith in Love, or what is good and right, without fully understanding the truth and reason that supports them, for it is in the time of testing that the strength of foundations are realised.
Here I will explain the Mystery of Love, so that you can walk 'the Way' with certainty and confidence.
Everyone has an image of what they are, and it is upon the self image that we base the laws of how we behave in life. There are only two self images to choose from, one is the image of a physical being and the other is the image of a spiritual being. The world has been divided into two camps, two sets of people with opposing self images, yet both are capable of Love, because Love is not completely dependant on self image.
The problem of conflict between those with opposing images does not arise because of what we think we are, but rather because of a lack of Love. Even some of those with the strongest belief that they are a spiritual being, have committed the most unloving and cruel acts.
If you look back through history, and even in today's world, you will find that atrocities and cruelty have been committed by both atheists and religious followers. It can also be said that some of the most loving acts, including self sacrifice, have been done by atheists.
It is apparent therefore that Love is independent of self image, religion, or preferred beliefs. Love is based on the unshakeable, and unchangeable foundation of Truth and people from both sides of the camp, have recognised that Truth.
It is because of ego, insecurity and the pursuit of self reward, that many have opposed the Law of Love and have killed, hurt and enslaved others. Each new act of negative selfishness, has prolonged the suffering of mankind.
Hate and greed in both camps is self sustaining, each side pursuing greater and greater methods and weapons to dominate or kill their opponents.
By all logic and reason there must come a day when either one side wins or both lose.
What then will mankind have become, the greatest tyrants and murderers, or extinct?
I tell you in Truth, that day is approaching so fast that it is hardly recognised. It is time to choose one way or the other, one world or no world. There is and always has been only one saviour, one way and that way is Love. I have chosen that way and I will stand without fear whatever comes; you can too if you do as I have done.
You can deny and blaspheme all you want against God and you will be forgiven, because you have not known God.
You can blaspheme all you want against God's children and you will be forgiven, because you have not understood or believed them.
But if you blaspheme against the Spirit of Love, how then can you ever find forgiveness, because true forgiveness only comes from Love.
Love is the only common ground that will unite mankind and bring peace, but there will be no peace as long as people cling to the things that are opposed to Love, things that are found in both established religions and atheism.
Here I stand between religions and atheism, and both are as bad as each other, both are corrupted with negative selfishness, both leading mankind away from Love and Truth, both blinded by limited reasoning, fear, insecurity, and the pursuit of pleasure. A species in conflict cannot stand, and can never have true security or pleasure.
Let us now go to:
The Foundations of Love
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God, for the word was Love.
It is written that the word and God are one, but this does not mean that Love is no more than an idea. You see, consciousness and mind are both required for life.
The 'self' without mind would be without knowledge, and therefore could not know of its existence, and could not experience reality.
The 'mind' without 'self' would be empty and unknown.
Life is awareness, desire and will, and the mind is where these things are known and expressed.
Imagine the self as a generator of electricity, and the mind as an electric bulb. One is useless without the other, but together they create light. Together they are one and cause effect.
In the
beginning was Love,
and Love
was with God, and together they were one, and God was 'the Way, the Truth and
the life.'
The mind is the place where quality of life is determined.
That which is in the mind and believed, is equal to the life that you experience, let it be Love.
Love is the perfect order of mind that results in the ultimate quality of life.
Love is the law of perfection, it is the Absolute Truth that ends all suffering, and through it, we are joined as one with God and each other in blissful existence.
In speaking of Love we are speaking of the LAW and its effects upon the quality of our life, and so to understand Love we must understand the LAW, for it is the foundations of all that is good and right.
I have heard it said, by those who believe that they are no more than a physical being, that Love is an effect of genes that act as an aid to procreation, thereby ensuring the continuation of the species. If this were so, then those who choose not to procreate would be either genetically defective, or somehow overriding their genetic program, obviously there is more to Love than they understand or care to admit.
The word LOVE has been so misused that its true meaning has almost been lost. It is because of this that love has become very difficult to define, and without the ability to define LOVE, it cannot be understood as anything more than a feeling, and yet love is much more than a feeling.
A person may say 'I love my car', or job or the place that I live.' In reality they are saying that they derive the feeling of pleasure from material things.
There are many things that can give a person feelings of pleasure for instance, some people derive the feeling of pleasure from hurting or killing other people, and so it is apparent that love is more than a feeling of pleasure.
It may surprise you when I say that everything that we do is done for the self, even self sacrifice, but it must be realised that there is a difference in acting according to the Law of Love and acting in opposition to Love.
All our lives we are taught not to be selfish, that any act of selfishness is wrong. This makes a loving person feel guilty for almost everything that they do for themselves. The problem is that unloving people have used the accusation of selfishness to create conformity by others. So now we have two words (Love and selfishness) that are each used as general terms, and in each there is both the positive and negative.
Everything that we do, we do for the
self; that is the first Law of Life.
In our actions through desire and will, we seek three things, these are; the acquisition of pleasure, the avoidance of pain, and self survival.
For those whose self image is as a spiritual being, self survival is not an issue, but for those whose self image is as a physical being, the survival of the physical body is the most important thing in life and there is unfolded the mystery of the living and the dead, for the dead are without empathy and therefore have nothing of Love or its understanding.
Empathy creates a bonding between souls; it allows the sharing of feelings. It is required for the recognition of what is good and right, and for the fulfilment of the Law of Love.
Empathy is a choice that can be accepted or denied. In each denial it is lessened until eventually it no longer has affect, and then in that soul, all things become permissible, for the difference between right and wrong is lost. The soul is then completely unaware of the Spirit and its true identity. It is not Love that a soul such as this feels, it is no more than the temporary pleasures of the material, that it must strive to sustain. Such a soul will say and do anything to deceive others of its true nature, lest it be found out and rejected by others.
Here is wisdom:
If someone loves you, they will ask for nothing from
you but your happiness, even unto sacrificing their own needs and desires
When empathy is accepted it grows stronger and that person is unable to cause hurt to others without also feeling that hurt too, but they know that as well as sharing the suffering of others, they can also feel the pleasure.
In feeling the suffering of others, a soul will desire to end that suffering, and in the bringing of pleasure to another soul, one feels that pleasure also.
The Law of Love is perfect. Empathy leads to compassion, which leads to equality, peace and joy.
The fulfilment of the LAW is the fulfilment of Love, without which nothing has any worth beyond the temporary.
A persons true spiritual state is not only recognised by their tears or facial expressions, for these may be falsified to deceive, rather they are realised through the reception of the spiritual radiations from their soul, and through our choice to be empathic we are given that gift.
I have felt the suffering of the world and I have felt perfect Love. When this life journey is over, I will return to God. You know the cause of suffering. You know that life is more important than the material. You know that this is not your natural environment. You know that Love is more than a feeling. You know the way home!
